BUILDING POLYPROPYLENE TANKS FOR THE FIRE SERVICE: T-Tanks, Wetsides, Skid Units, Ellipticals.

FABRICATED BY DVS TRAINED FABRICATORS
DVS translates to German Welding Society. Engineers worldwide recognize the extensive and tremendous amount of work by DVS in establishing a full range of guidelines for hand welding, extrusion welding, testing and qualification of welding personnel.

FABRICATED USING VIRGIN COPOLYMER
The co-poly used by Integra Tank is a combination of polypropylene and polyethylene. It contains no regrind.  The natural material is UV stabilized and stress relieved.  The black material is UV resistant and stress relieved. Stress relieving is a heat process that allows the molecular strands of the plastic to relax together after being rolled into a sheet.

UTILIZE A BUTT WELDER AND BENDER
The butt welder and bender utilized by Integra Tank can accommodate sheets up to 10 feet long. Tanks 10 feet and less are assembled using this equipment. The bender allows us to bend a sidewall from one continuous sheet.  After the sidewall is bent the butt welder allows us to attach the floor to the sidewall with a weld the full thickness of the floor. This can be done because our butt welder is capable of butt welding 90 degrees. A bent seam is 95% as strong as the original sheet and a butt welded seam is 99% as strong as the original sheet.  Hand welding alone is about 65% as strong as the original sheet. If tank size doesn’t allow us to utilize the butt welder or bender we will single pass hand weld the seam on the outside and then electronically test the weld. Then we hand weld the inside of the seam and extrusion weld over to top of the inside hand weld.

WE DO NOT USE NITROGEN WHILE WELDING
While other tank manufacturers advertise the use of nitrogen during welding, Integra Tank does not use nitrogen while welding. The only purpose of the nitrogen is to cover up the fact that they are welding too hot and are unable to control the heat of their welders.  Integra Tank uses auto therm welders which allows us to adjust the temperature of the air. The co-poly we use welds at about 310 degrees Celsius. (590 degrees Fahrenheit). We can adjust our welders to the desired temperature for optimum welding. The welders used by our competitors are not auto therm and the only way to adjust them is to increase or decrease the airflow or change to a different watt element. The fact that the their welders with a 750 watt element are operating over the proper welding temperature is the reason the nitrogen has to be used.  If nitrogen wasn’t used the entire shop would be full of smoke which will destroy the poly. DVS training does not recommend the use of nitrogen. Nitrogen is a cover-up.

SEPARATE FOAM CELLS
Integra Tank foam cells are completely separate from the water tank whenever possible. We build a notch in the water tank and fit the separate foam tank into the notch. This eliminates the possibility of the foam tank leaking into the water tank and vice-versa.

QUALITY DOCUMENTATION
Integra Tank uses quality control documentation during the manufacturing process to help with quality checks. We have over 100 units in the field with a zero leak record. (knock on plastic). We take pride in our work.

TESTING
All our seams are electronically tested for leaks during construction. During the final test we begin putting water in our tanks before the covers are on. This allows us to catch any debris we might have missed with the vacuum. Our covers are extrusion welded and electronically tested for leaks after the tank is filled completely with water into the tower to create pressure on the cover welds.

INTEGRA TANK LIFETIME WATER TANK WARRANTY
The Booster/Foam tank shall be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for the service life of the vehicle (vehicle must be actively used in fire suppression).  The tank must be installed in accordance with the tank company installation recommendations.  Every tank is thoroughly inspected and tested for leaks before leaving our facility.  Should any problems develop with your booster/foam tank and will not meet performance criteria during the service life of the vehicle, notify in writing or call. If the tank problem would render the truck out of service, the tank company will dispatch a service technician within 48 hours (2 days) to repair the tank. If the vehicle can remain in service, the tank company will dispatch a service technician within a mutually agreed upon time period.

The tank company will repair, or, at their option, replace the tank with a new tank.  The tank company will cover all customary and reasonable costs to remove and install the tank.  This warranty will not cover tanks that have been improperly installed, misused or abused, and the serial number must not have been altered, defaced or removed. The tank company will not cover any unauthorized third party repairs or alterations. Any of these actions may void the warranty.

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION OF THE FACE HEREOF. THERE IS NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR A WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ADDITIONALLY, THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES ON THE PART OF THE TANK COMPANY.

This warranty contains the entire warranty. It is the sole warranty and price agreements or representation, whether oral or written, are either merged herein or expressly cancelled. The tank company neither assumes, nor authorizes any person supposing to act on its behalf, to change, nor to assume for it, any warranty or liability concerning its product.

IN NO EVENT WILL THE TANK COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR AN AMOUNT IN EXCESS OF THE PRESENT RETAIL PURCHASE PRICE PLUS INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL COST OF THE BOOSTER TANK, FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHERWISE ARISING OUT OF FAILURE OF ITS PRODUCT.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights which vary from state to state.  Some states do not allow exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damage, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.  Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
